Renee Keller – President

Renée Keller is a research and development chemist at Evonik Industries, AG (formerly Performance Materials Division of Air Products & Chemicals, Inc.) and has been with the company since 1994.  She is currently supporting research and development of additives for the polyurethane foam industry.  She earned a BS in chemistry from Beaver College, now Arcadia University, and an MS in Polymer Science and Engineering from Lehigh University.  Renée attends Grace Bible Church of Hawk Mountain and is active in ladies Bible study there.  Renée is married to Dave Brown and has one son, Jack Keller, Jr.  Jack graduated from The King’s Academy in 2010, Lafayette College in 2014, Lehigh University in 2016, and is now employed by Carnegie Mellon University.

David Schmaldienst – Vice President

David Schmaldienst is an educator in the Oley Valley School District and has been with the district since 2000.  He currently serves as the Assistant High School Principal.  He has a BA in History and Social Studies from Lebanon Valley College.  He has two M.Ed. from Wilkes University, one in Classroom Technology and one in Educational Leadership.  Additionally, he has completed the Superintendent Letter of Eligibility Program from Edinboro University.  David and his family attend Trinity Bible Fellowship church in Blandon. He resides in Ontelaunee Township with his wife Becky and daughter Samantha who is a student at TKA.

Brian S. Kulp – Treasurer

Brian S. Kulp, Esquire is owner of the Law Office of Brian Kulp where he practices family, civil and criminal law. Brian served as an Assistant District Attorney in Berks County.  He is most proud of his service in Berks County Veteran Court where many Veterans were given the help they desperately needed.  Brian is married to Dr. Donna Kulp and a proud father of five boys, two who graduated from The King’s Academy.  His 5th son is currently enrolled in 10th grade.

After he graduated from Reading High School, he proudly served in the United States Air Force.  He then graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor Degree in Business from Alvernia University and also earned his Certified Management Accounting certification from the Institute of Management Accountants.  After serving various positions in the corporate world, he attended Widener Law School to which he graduated Cum Laude.

Dr. Art Sprunger – Chaplain

Art oversees New Hope and Freedom Counseling, a ministry providing professional consulting, counseling and life-therapy services from an emancipating, caring Christian perspective, especially focused in recent years on supporting leaders, business owners, educators, professionals and highly creative individuals and those they care about. He served for many years as the Academic Dean of the United Institute of Biblical Counseling and as the Executive Director of the United Association of Christian Counselors, Intl., as well as being elected as the President of the Counseling Association of Greater Philadelphia. He is an ordained minister and pastored Grace Brethren churches in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio and Delaware. He was responsible for overseeing the district-wide youth programs for their Indiana-Illinois and Southern Ohio-Kentucky districts. He taught at Moody Bible Institute, Akron, Ohio as well as being a substitute high school teacher for several years in Ohio. He is also a licensed Real Estate agent, working with his wife, and is involved in other sales and marketing consultation. His educational background includes an MA and PhD in Counseling Psychology, honored with a DD and LHD, and did his MDiv and BA studies at Grace College and Seminary in Indiana, having first graduated from what is now Lancaster Bible College, with majors in Bible, Greek and Psychology.

Rick Culp

Rick serves as Chairman of Atlantic Stewardship Bank and also works as a consultant to businesses serving the education market.  Rick comes from an education background having taught high school science for 5 years before moving into educational publishing for Pearson / Prentice Hall.  Over 30 years, Rick served in many roles for the company rising to the level of president.  He went on to become CEO for a digital company developing online curriculum before moving into his current consulting roles.  Rick, along with wife Ruth, recently established The King’s Corner, a gift and thrift store to raise support for The King’s Academy.  Rick and Ruth live in Narvon, PA and are active members with teaching roles at Christian Fellowship Church in New Holland.  They have four married children and take great delight in their 13 grandchildren.

Sean McMenamin

Sean is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and works at Wernersville State Hospital as the Chief Physical Therapist. Prior to working at Wernersville, he held the same position at the Hamburg Center for twelve years until the facility closed. He graduated from The King’s College with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics. While attending the TKC, Sean played Baseball and Basketball. Through much prayer, family support, and God’s guidance, Sean changed his career trajectory and pursued Physical Therapy. He received an A.A.S. as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Lehigh County Community College, MSPT and then DPT from Neumann University.

Sean’s wife, Karen, is a Registered Nurse who occasionally substitutes for Nurse Darkes at TKA. Sean is active in volunteering his time with our facilities maintenance.  Their two daughters, Kayla and Samantha, attend TKA. Sean and his family attend and serve at The Bridge Church in Hamburg, PA.

 

Lori Minotto

Lori Minotto works as a real estate photographer while also running her own photography business.  She specializes in sports photography and senior portraits.  She is an active member of Emmanuel Fellowship Church where she serves as a youth leader.  She and her husband, Rick, are proud parents of Rebecca and Jessica, both TKA alumni and Alex, a current TKA student.  Lori was a longtime volunteer and employee of TKA for 13 years.  One of her many contributions includes establishing the lunch program at the school.

David Schmaldienst, Sr.

Dave is a retired Music Educator.  After 39 years of teaching instrumental music, he retired from the Tri-Valley School District.  Prior to that he taught in the Tamaqua, Deptford Township, NJ., and Lower Cape May Regional School Districts.  He is currently working for Loser’s Music Inc. in Lebanon, PA as an Instrumental Music consultant, repair technician, and sales associate.  Dave is a graduate of West Chester University, and has also completed course work from Wilkes College, West Chester, and Villanova.  He has served twice as President of Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 10 and as Music Liaison to the Fine Arts Committee of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  He and his wife, Judy, are currently members of The Bridge Church in Hamburg where they are actively involved with the Prayer Team, Music Ministry and Life Groups teachers.  He is also serving as the Orchestra Director and Music Arranger.  They are the parents of David, Mike, and Debbie and have 10 grandchildren.
